Forex Trend Following - How to Catch and Turn the Big Trends Into Big Profits

If you look at any forex chart you will see big trends which last for many weeks, months or years and it is these trends that yield the big profits. Forex trend following looks easy but it's not as easy as it looks unless you understand these key points. Understand them and you can enjoy currency trading success...

Why Big Trends Will Always Occur

They will always occur, because currencies reflect the underlying health of the economy of the country they represent and boom and bust cycles are long term and reflected in currency strength and weakness.

Currencies will always exhibit long term trends.

If you can lock into and follow these forex trends, you can of course make a lot of money but most trader's don't have the discipline to do it - if you do with your forex trading strategy, then you can make huge profits. Making big profits is never easy and you wouldn't expect it to be with the rewards you can make but if you follow the right methods you can make triple digit annual gains.

Let's look at how to forex trend follow and catch these major trends.

Hit the Breakouts

If you understand how to buy and sell breakouts you can catch the big trends that yield the big moves and it's a fact that ALL major trends come from breakouts of important market lows and highs and you should look to buy them.

Generally, an important breakout will be at least 3 tests of a level, in two times frames and the wider they are spaced apart the better. The more tests the more time frames and the wider they are apart the more important the level is and you will find a few of them per year in each currency.

They don't come around often but the odds favor a major trend when they do and you should have patience to wait for them.

Keep in mind you don't get rewarded for trading often - you get rewarded for being right with your trading signal and market timing - that's all, not how often you trade.

Following the Trend

This is the hard part and the one that most traders cannot do, because they cannot take open equity dips against them - you need courage to follow these forex trends and hold them and here we will show you how.

Most traders get excited when they get a profit and the bigger it becomes the more excited they get. As normal volatility dips back and starts to eat into open equity, they get frightened and want to take the profit before it gets away, the more this happens, the more nervous they get. In the end, they simply cant take it anymore and snatch a marginal profit or move stop to close and get bumped out. What happens next?

The trade continues the way they thought and piles up $10, 20,000 or more and there not in!

If you are in a big trend, accept short term open equity drawdown as part of catching the bigger longer term profit and don't move your stop to soon! Simply wait till the trade is underway and leave your stop outside of short term volatility, say at the 40 day moving average when the trend turns, you will lose a bit but this method can make you tens of thousands on the big trends.

Always remember - if you caught just 50% of every major trend, you would be very rich!

Forex trend following suits the trader who wants to make big money and spend less than 30 minutes a day on their trading - if you like the buzz or action do something else.

If you have courage, conviction and patience, you can make triple digit gains using this method and it's one where if you hit the right trends they can provide stunning long term profits.

Elements in the same period show trends in atomic radius, ionization energy, electron affinity, and electronegativity. Moving left to right across a period, atomic radius usually decreases. This occurs because each successive element has an added proton and electron which causes the electron to be drawn closer to the nucleus. This decrease in atomic radius also causes the ionization energy to increase when moving from left to right across a period. The more tightly bound an element is, the more energy is required to remove an electron. Similarly, electronegativity will increase in the same manner as ionization energy because of the amount of pull that is exerted on the electrons by the nucleus. Electron affinity also shows a slight trend across a period. Metals (left side of a period) generally have a lower electron affinity than nonmetals (right side of a period) with the exception of the noble gases.

Create a Fabulous Life by Divorcing Thoughts That No Longer Serve You!

Women are notorious for taking care of others first. We spend an excessive amount of time worrying about the success and happiness of our loved ones, and often put our own needs, hopes, wants, and dreams on the back burner. At some point in our lives, many of us end up feeling lonely, unappreciated, unfulfilled, and resentful. We never realize the amount of control we have over our own happiness. Our thoughts and beliefs can enhance our lives, or they can drain our spirits and leave us feeling empty. The fact is that many of us stay in or leave unhappy situations without first examining our own thought patterns. With the divorce rate extremely high, it is ironic that we divorce people more often than we divorce the beliefs that don't serve us. We stick to our positions at the expense of relationships, friendships, jobs, dreams, happiness, and joy.

Most of us married our beliefs so long ago, we can't even remember how we met in the first place. As infants, our self-esteem was at an all-time high. We crawled around as little tykes, totally oblivious as to what others thought of our thunder thighs, cellulite, or pudgy tummies. When our needs were not met, we did not stop to ask what was wrong with us. We just screamed louder until we got the attention we deserved. When other babies grabbed our toys, we just grabbed them back without wondering what we did to deserve such nasty treatment. We knew we were just fine as we were. Learning to walk, we fell down many times. Never seeing it as a sign of failure or incompetence, we just kept trying over and over again.

Somewhere along the line, we were introduced to a variety of thoughts based on our own interpretations of the world, the opinions of others, and our life experiences. We even started hanging out with some of these thoughts over and over again. "I'm not good enough. People won't like me if I disappoint them. I'm a poor athlete. I'm bad at math. Something is wrong with me. I'll never amount to anything. Men can't be trusted. Women are weak. I'm right. He is wrong. He is right. I'm wrong. If I fail at something, I'm a failure." If we hung out with these thoughts often enough, they became beliefs; and we eventually felt married to them.

When we hold on to beliefs that are not true and no longer serve us, we continually press the pause button on our lives. In order to divorce beliefs that never worked for us in the first place and create the fabulous life we deserve, we need to:

* recognize that thoughts lie.

* acknowledge that there will always be thoughts available to support any belief - whether positive or negative.

* understand that what we pay attention to matters.

* know that we, and we alone, choose, interpret, and arrange our thoughts to back up our beliefs.

* start hanging out with new, improved beliefs on a regular basis.

Before I divorced them, some of my limiting beliefs included:

* I'm too old.

* I'm too much of a dreamer.

* I'm too scattered.

* Who am I fooling?

* It's too late for me.

* People won't take me seriously.

* I don't know how to build a website, write an e-book, create a blog, etc.

* I'm not organized enough.

* I might fail.

* Failure must be avoided at all costs.

Realizing I never took a vow to love, honor, and obey these negative and abusive thoughts, I banished them from my life - making space for new and empowering beliefs to take their place. Since I make up my beliefs anyway, they might as well be great ones! What beliefs are holding you back and keeping you from achieving your dreams? If they no longer work for you (if they ever did), it's time for a major breakup!

Using the wrong products cause many skin problems. You should be using non pore clogging moisturizer for all types of skin – oily or dry.

If your pores get clogged your skin won’t breathe properly. Toxins in our body are partly removed through our skin, and if pores are closed the toxins won’t be able to escape. This will cause many skin problems, including acne and blackheads.

If the facial moisturizer you are using has mineral oil on the label it is not a non pore clogging moisturizer. Mineral oil coats the skin to keep in moisture, but this is not a good thing, because it also

Before dealing with the topic of the Stars in Quran versus Bible versus sciences, it is mandatory to give some statistical hints.

The total words in the Bible are 788,280 while total words in the Quran are 77,473. It follows that, the Bible is more than 10 times the Quran word-wise. In other words, the Bible has the potential of more than 10 times than the Quran to exhibit its topics.

Back to the Stars, they are mentioned 35 times in the Bibles and 9 times in the Quran.

Herein, I am talking about two Biblical verses Bible versus one Quranic verse.

How does the Bible deal with the Stars?

Allah Who created the Stars Swear with their positions and HE told us that this Swear is great and Mighty IF WE KNOW!

In Surah 56: 75-76

Furthermore I call to witness the setting of the Stars and I swear with their positions, And that is indeed a mighty adjuration (great swear) if ye but knew,

When we look at the night sky we see Stars in different positions depending on the time of night. We also see different groups of Stars depending on the time of year. The reason we see Stars move during the night is because the Earth spins.

The Earth orbits the Sun in one year and in one year you will see many different groups of Stars in the sky. These groups are the constellations. Because the Earth orbits the Sun you will see different constellations, for example, at night in the winter months than in the summer. The Stars themselves exhibit motion relative to each other. Using repeated overlapped CCD scans (up-to-date sophisticated technique); positions for 661,591 Stars have been established, however with some errors.

As far as I know, There are 100,000,000,000 (100 Billion) Stars in the Milky Way, of which some 50 Million are cataloged.

Up my knowledge, which is admittedly limited in Astronomy, To plot "all the Stars in our galaxy" is undoubtedly impossible.

Hence, to determine the positions of the Stars is a very big issue that is out of human competence.

Now, do you realize and accept the value of Allah ' swear by the positions of the Stars.

The great issue of the positions of the Stars in the Quran is NEVER mentioned in the Bible.

We are in need of sciences and wisdom and intellectual people to determine precisely the positions of the Stars.

That is why, ALLAH said:

"Furthermore I call to witness the setting of the Stars and I swear with their positions, And that is indeed a mighty adjuration (great swear) if ye but knew"

This means that if we know we would realize the value of Allah' swear.

The mighty swear is for what?

If you admit that Allah' swear is great and mighty, then I recommend you read Surah 56: 75-81 to know what is the reason for Allah' swear.

Also, I may ask you the smart reader this question:

Is the Quran quoted from the Bible? And which book contradicts with the commonly known scientific knowledge?

The book which says that a Goat cast down some of the stars to the ground and stamped upon them and also says that the stars of the sky fell to the earth like green figs falling from a tree shaken by a strong wind

Or the book which talks about the great issue of the positions of the Stars!

Who would win a season of all star games?

Hitters or pitchers?

When you have all star lineup going up against the best pitching in the game every day, actually managed properly, do you think average scoring would be higher or lower than normal?

Since there is such a premium placed on pitching, it would seem that a staff of All Star pitchers facing a lineup of All Star hitters from each league would prevail.

As with regular teams, hitters go into slumps and pitchers have bad outings, But over a season of 162 games, the average scoring would be lower when compared to a normal season.

Too bad, this speculation will never be proved. Interesting question.
