How many times have you purchased a pair of shoes only to find that it doesn't actually fit as well as it did in the store, or maybe your feet aches after about an hour of wear, by then it's a little too late to be taking them back for an exchange or a refund. Which is why these shoe aids are going to become your new best friends.

To be honest, I was a little skeptical at first, thinking that it was more of a gimmick and doesn't actually work. Well, I admit that certain types of products does work as I have tried it myself.

In this blog entry I aim to introduce various types of shoe aids that may assist you in having a more comfortable footwear but at the same time not sacrificing fashion. Some products may work and some may not due to different brands and manufacturing etc, however I do suggest that you give different types and brands a try.

So after reading this archive you can now unpack those gorgeous unworn shoes that you have had hidden away and finally wear them without aches and pain, but instead with comfort and style.

1. Gel Cushions

Also know as 'Party Feet', it adds cushioning and comfort to your shoes. Also the perfect solution for high heels, it adds grip and prevents your feet from sliding forward with added cushioning to the ball of your feet. The perfect answer for those who can't live without glamorous footwear.

2. Heel Cushions

Great for those who suffers from sore, aching heels. It works the same as 'Gel Cushion' but it is placed on the insole of the heels of the shoes.

3. Heel Grips

Prevents your shoes from sliding off the back of your heels. It provides additional grip to the heels of the shoes and prevent blisters caused by rubbing.
Also comes in suede leather. However, it is slightly thinner but I find that it sticks better than gel types. Especially if your feet tends to become sweaty through out the day or night.

4. Toe Post Strips

Prevents blisters and cushions between the toes when wearing sandals or thongs with toe post.

5. Sore Spots

Sore spots are aimed to be placed on certain parts of the shoes where it may be rubbing, causing irritation or blasters on your skin.

6. Slingback Strips

Thin strips of gel cushions ideal for footwear with slingback straps that may be rubbing, causing irritation or blisters on the skin at the back of your heels. It is placed on the back of the straps for added cushioning.

Can I wear hosiery with an open-toed SLINGBACK heel shoe?

I got slingback high heel shoes similar to this pic:

The norm used to be that those kind of shoes always had some kind of hosiery with them, i.e. being worn with them.
The trend has evolved that women don't like to wear hosiery any more, with shoes like that I think it looks better than bare toes and ankle showing.

Of course I would also say go ahead and wear pantyhose with that outfit and shoes, will "finish" the look.
