Believe it or not, we are finding more and more people buying flip flops in the winter. In the last few years, the sales of sandals have been steadily increasing. It may be that environmentalists are right. Is global warming really taking its toll on the climate?

Actually, it’s not likely that more people are wearing flip flops out in the snow but rather that more people are wearing sandals inside than ever before. It may be possible that while heating costs have gone up that families are not keeping their homes as warm as in the past. This helps offset the increasing costs of utilities during the cooler months. As a negative result, home floors are quite cold and who likes walking around their own house with cold feet? Why would you walk barefoot if you could slip on a pair of comfortable sandals while still saving money on the heating bill?

Sandals keep your feet from transferring the freezing floor’s cold through your feet to the rest of your body while they make walking around the house much more comfortable. Those same sandals will also be a quick easy way to step outside in the spring when the weather is warm and inviting.

See, wearing flip flops in the middle of winter isn’t that ridiculous after all.

Where's a good place to buy flip flops for overpronators?

i would go with these teva flip flops, u really can't tell from the pic but they have a good arch. u can get these lots of places, i got mine at fredmyers, i heard u can also get them at rei and places like that!!!! these r great flip flops!!!

Casual Walking Shoes-a Comfortable Fashion Statement

Stupid but yet serious question about sandals and guys please read details?

Have you ever only worn sandals around people who don't know you esp. ones that you know will probably never know you. I tend to wear them in areas where I don't feel I will encounter anyone I know such as going on road trips and at stores and eating places in locations far from where I live. It is like I want to enjoy the comfort and air of sandals but not around the people I am close to. It is like I am living a double life here.
Also I don't live in a beach town and the guys around here including the ones in my family mostly wear boots or basically anything that covers the feet.

I do.
I wear ordinary sandals almost everywhere; but, when I wear exotic sandals, like gladiator sandals or very thin strap sandals, I try to go to places where nobody knows me, just to feel I'm wearing these sandals in public.
